ABOUT OUR GROUP
The Yorkshire Koi Society is a completely independent Society, the way it has been since it was first founded in 1975. We are happy to say we are still flourishing in this our 35th year. Membership still includes those with a lifetime of experience in fish and Koi keeping, qualities both valued and appreciated by newer members who bring life and vigour to the Society.
Membership covers the whole of Yorkshire, here in England and way beyond. We have members from the area's of Whitby / York / Sheffield / Goole / Leeds / Castleford / Bradford / Wetherby / Barnsley / Doncaster / Huddersfield / Hull / Rotherham / Wakefield / Cannock / Manchester / Sutton Coldfield / Scunthorpe / Darwin / Newcastle / Collingham, not forgetting our friends in the Koi Society's of Australia.
Our Aims:
- To invite new members to join our group, to arrange meetings and share knowledge.
- A News letter is regularly published. All Newsletters are also available to YKS members via the YKS website "members only section".
- To invite other like minded Koi clubs to exchange pond visits with the Yorkshire Koi Society.
- To invite guest speakers to our meetings. Please note, all winter meetings are held at:
Collingham Village Memorial Hall
Collingham
West Yorkshire
LS22 5AS.
- To gather, and with permission distribute, information and articles of interest to Koi keepers via the Yorkshire Koi Society's web site.
- To exchange magazines and articles with other groups of Koi keepers throughout the world.
If you feel that our Society may be of help and interest, you can contact us by email.
